That is just one benefit!: The new modular design will simplify the OEMs qualification process by only forcing them to change the affected module. For instance, when a new chipset is released only the module that communicates with that chipset must change. Previously the OEM would have to get a whole new BIOS. Now they will just change the affected module. No more fix one problem and create 3 others.
