Great News
Lets face it. The BIOS has remained virtually the same since the PCs inception. The current BIOS has been kluged several times for new hardware and limits what a hardware developer can do. The new modular design and access to the source code are wonderfull improvements. This will remove control of the BIOS from a relatively small list of companies and open up this area to competition. This will greatly improve the PC.
