This article was very interesting. I've never really thought about all the potential problems of the "brave new world" of completely digitized media. Another one which was not really brought out in the article is how easy it will be to alter records in the future when there is no hard copy. Historians can usually tell if a book or other printed source has been forged or altered after the fact but how easy will it be for people to silently alter computer files and even video records of events when the only copies exist online. Such tampering may be virtually undetectable to future readers.

As the article points out there are many benefits to the digitizing of information but we should be aware of and cautious of the risks of adapting this strategy too completely.
