In 500 years, computers and humans can't figure out old formats?
In 500 years, Open software still exists? better yet, computers and humans advance to the point well beyong OSS, so those formats are unreadable as they were abandended 400 years earlier?

Lets give it a break and stop looking for problems that will never exist.
