Most usage of 64-bit AMD Processors are Opterons, not the Athlon 64 models. So the article does hold truth.


Meanwhile, yes, I firmly believe that Microsoft is hanging on to the 64bit x86 version of Windows XP until Intel gets a 64 bit chip out and about.

I have been in contact with some that are doing beta testing and were talking about how the OS works and how it is ready for the real-world.
