Set-top shakeup is in the cards

Paxton is full of it.: I have a cable modem that I bought, and save a bundle by not renting one. They are now so cheap, you'd have to be crazy to rent one. This would come true for set top boxes, and the cable companines knows this. I'll take the risk and buy one. That will be $5 to $10 in my pocket, and not in comacast's pocket.

Just like they have now taken away my $5 multi service discount, and told me I could get if back if I add their phone service. Sorry not going to happen. Just waiting for Fios, so I can dump Comcast. Sick of them raising my cable bill every six -12 months for the same exuse and still the same worthless channels (4/5 home shopping, 3/4 spanish, 2 religous, Crappy music channels, Rerun sports channels, etc.). Know several people that have Fios and love it. I hope the FCC also passes the rulling to make the cable companies offer al cart.
