why test on a server?

stop testing on a server that does nothing but sit there.
its a SERVER !!! that means its just a slave to computers that are doing the actual work. any windows 95 computer with a large storage capacity can do that.
every new computer ive bought , ive had to install windows , or wipe out the crummy preinstall and reinstall it myself (just because it was intended for the person who does nothing more than check their email) ...
& then install all my programs. next thing you know, its tommorrow. not very fast if you ask me, and not worth my time
making all the changes to the system that got these speed improvements....

so for a cost of $1000 or more, show me a REAL test with improvement. If INTEL or AMD have a claim of speed improvement of a brand new chip (as compared to my 6 month old dust covered chip) their test should be realistic.

it would be as simple as this !!!
take the hard drive that has their O/S & programs on it , that theyve been using day to day - with no modifications , and transplant it into the machine with the new chipset.
if its truly 20 percent faster when its up and running ,
THEN ill be impressed
