- called it a quad core. I agree, tests have shown there is very little performance diff over a dual core (10 to 30%, somethin like that). I am a C2D owner (E6700, I love to brag, can ya tell, heh) and let me tell ya, it 'smokes' (as in eat most any OS and software for breakfast, lunch, dinner and a midnight snack, heh). My point is, if ya blow double the money on a quad, YOU SHOULD GET DOUBLE THE PERFORMANCE (that is the reason I didn't buy the 'extreme' C2D, there was only 10 to 20 % performance diff from it and the CPU I have now, didn't justify double the money, pah, not on yer life or your mother's, heh). >:-]
