My 2 bit worth
Restore from Hibernate is certainly faster than a full cold boot.

But in world situation I really wonder how a few seconds matter when you hibernate the machine & simply walk away or how critical is it for the system to get ready a few seconds sooner.

I would guess if it was really that critical for anyone they would simply not switch off their machines!
