I agree -
Why not have a superpixel DLP device projecting very high resolution images onto a wall? Your console can then be a large glass-like table tilted at about 30 degrees - it would resemble the consoles from 'Star Trek' but without those buttons and switches. Of course it would be fun to play with (and maybe actually useful) but you'll never be able to install them in the modern Dilbert office.
