Less weight.

You could also have a larger display, depending on the spread of the beam, maybe even adjustable size if you can adjust the spread. (Yeah, you can put the surface on which you're projecting the display farther away to make the image bigger, but since you have to be at the keyboard to use it, it will appear the same size in your visual field and likely dimmer.)
