Why wait to use it in mobile devices
It sounds like a good monitor replacement to me. Once the costs get down the power requirements don't matter in a desktop computing environment.

You could build an entire computer in a keyboard. Just add a power connection, a wireless mouse and a wall.

For a more powerful computer, you could separate the keyboard/projector from the computer. The wireless connection for the mouse and a USB hub would remain in the keyboard. The connection between the computer and keyboard should probably be wired for bandwidth and security reasons.

But, it's all too good to happen in my lifetime.
