Sorry but you're way off base on this rant
I don't think inventors were the issue. The problem comes in when somebody obtains a patent that should never have been issued. Like patenting the extraction of O2 from ordinary air for a process of combustion at a cellular level (aka breathing). The problem starts with a patent office that refuses to do it's job and grants patents on "inventions" which are either obvious, public domain or have a lot of prior art on them. The people who attempt to exploit a patent that shouldn't have been issued are, in a word, trolls. And as such need to have their lively hood severely reduced or eliminated entirely. The problem isn't the legitimate inventor or even the illegitimate vendor it's the idiots who invent nothing but steal the inventions of others through the patent office.
