how about it
Personally I'm getting quite tired of the "quacks like a duck, is a duck" crap. If a low-cost alternative to getting reamed on a daily basis by SBC exists, let SBC suffer some of that fat away.

And since I am a Vonage customer, I can say that there really is a difference between the quality of Vonage and SBC. Every once in a while you'll get a lot of breaks in the conversation with Vonage (especially if you're talking with a cell phone user) and then of course there is the issue of losing your phone in the event of a power outage. That doesn't even come close to quacking like a duck and certainly isn't an excuse to kill the only real (fledgling) alternative to SBC.

Besides, what do you expect from New York? These are the same goofballs that run around the city busting people for having ashtray "contraband" in a freaking private building.

So far I have 3 states in mind to be wary of -- California, Texas and now New York.
