I don't mean to be conforntational but BMW DOES do things for
other car makers. They stamp Porsche body panels. But mixing
with Ford would mean living with a lower form of life than
themselves. So they don't.
Honda makes engines for Rover in the UK, or did, as well as
other critical parts. It was not good for Honda. It deteriorated
their image.
Mercedes makes Daewoo engines. That's good for Daewoo but
is off-putting to Mercedes owners that learn about it. But 40%
of Mercedes owners to don buy their car - it is a company car.
BTW, didn't Dell put the iPod on their site for awhile? I don't
