AMD's answer to dual-core
Um, dual-core has been AMD's stated next step since well before Intel jumped on that one.

The K9 chip will be a dual-core chip. You could say the much like Intel's upcoming AMD64 chips, their next-generation dual-core chips will also be not much more than swiping a page out of AMDs playbook.

Not to say that AMD invented the concept of dual-core chips, far from it. They were just the first to announce them for consumer chips.

*To head off flamers, note that I use both Intel and AMD processors.
