Curious, why do you ignore WiMAX
A small town not to distant from me is rolling out a 802.16 (WiMax) system and it is fantastic. At 20 miles away speeds are still in the 5 Meg a second range. (Theoretical distance limit is 30 miles.) It also removes most if not all the "line of sight" problems associated with traditional WiFi (802.11x).

You do yourself and your readers a dis-service by not including WiMAX in this article...
