- NY was multi-platform ... Windows abandoned that ...
- Geniuses that they are MS for some reason chose to abandon the multi-platform NT and focus on X86 for Windows200x. They probaly could move it but they made noise about optimization for WinTEL just after NT became accepted (not before) when they burnt all the NT partners using non-X86 technology.
