Bush & USA = good, Saddam = bad...
Vily,
I will use small words so you understand. Yes,
the US armed Saddam with weapons prior to
Kuwait. We did so, so Iraq could keep Iran in
check (the greater threat at the time). As you
said, Germany, Britain, France, and Russia
*ALSO* armed Iraq. Saddam decided to invade and
control Kuwait with the weapons the world had
given him... Wrong choice. The US went down
and spanked him. The UN (aka worthless cowards)
placed special rules on Iraq and said that she
could not arm herself. Well Saddam did arm
himself, and even used some of the weapons he
shouldn't have had on his own people. He was
required to allow UN inspectors to look for
WMDs, but he did not. The UN passed 17
resolutions to force Saddam to allow inspectors,
but he never did. The UN should have followed
its charter and used force to inspect Iraq, but
they are all cowards, so the big bad evil scary
USA had to go and lay waste to the terrorist
sponsoring Iraqi leadership/military... And we
did! Hooray for the US of A and our
overwhelmingly justified war on Iraq. Saddam is
out and Iraq will soon be a democratic nation.

God bless America and G. W. Bush!!!
