Hours of fun uninstalling
I've spent hours uninstalling pointless junk from Dell machines because friends want to keep the OEM Windows install. How can Dell keep a straight face shipping out brand new laptops which are appallingly slow because of all the crap that's thrust upon them? It's far easier if friends are receptive to Linux because you can fresh install and update, say, Ubuntu in less than an hour with minimal intervention and absolutely zero junk. I find it encouraging that companies have either implemented or are considering allowing users to choose on first boot what gets installed.
