The handwriting is on the wall, and not surprisingly, it's VERY legible.

I don't share your belief that non-convergent PDAs still have legs left to stand on. UMPCs and even tablets offer greater versatility even if the energy usage is worse (though frankly, my last PDA--an HP 2215 with dual batteries--SUCKED (literally) when it came to draining juice), and the larger FF is potentially more of a hindrance. And smartphones offer the same form factor while providing even greater usability and utility. PDAs have simply become too limited in their available versatility, even if the apps still exist for them to continue to be useful.
