Apples Patents
I am a fan of Apple, I own a G4 Tower and an ibook, but I must
say that the patent situation is out of control. Whether it is the
atempt to patent and online auction or amazon's one click
purchase patent, it just goes to show that us patent office
doesn't have clue.

We also need to blame the US congresss for two things. First, it
overturned a Supreme Court ruling that limited the availability of
patents. That ruling is a primary reason the spread sheet was
never patented.

Second Congress created a patent court. By creating this
specialized court it has increased the level of litigation and
expertise. Thus, there has been a certain amount of job
justification in the patent courts.

Regards

Joe
