And that also proves how educated and reasonable decisons in US Patent Office are.

A few companies patented compression algorithm based on Huffman coding (1953) many times. Their lawyers simply rephrased the algoritm... and added some small insignificant "feature". And that sort of "innovation" (perhaps innovating novel by writers... pardon me... lawyers) usually makes to patent in the USA.


Also how can you patent "look and feel"?

So perhaps we should start patenting taste of food too...
