Crazy or what?
This is crazy - unable to protect themselves with copyright, Apple have resorted to patenting things that should be covered by copyright. User interfaces should be covered by copyright, not patent. After all, the ideas underlying what Apple has done have been around for years, Apple's success is in the implementation, not the invention.

But given the current litigious environment, who can really blame them?
