thing to remember is this is not an OS issue but a instruction set issue. X86 code fits on a few sheets of paper that any assembley code monkey can use. MMX added a few pages but its still the most basic of building blocks. Windows tries to ignore assembley in favor of a vast 50+ volume set of C code that that does Omni logic blocks that always leave extra code hanging off. stripping Windows down and rebuilding without C would be the best first step.
as far as the idea of upper flowing logic unit that dont use x86 I would rather they made more "pipes" like the GPUs and another page of 64bit code to sort it better. the issue is 8bit 16 bit 32 bit 64 bit instruction sets IMO - Posted by: Tundrawyrm Posted on: 04/08/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
