This is another example of the consumer's...
POWER to change the market. The consumer is shifting to AMD. Intel thought they had the power of Microsoft and could force the consumer into submission. They thought they could lie and deceive the consumer about the product they were buying. So far, only Microsoft has been able to get away with ripping off the consumer and making them like it. But this is changing also(eg. 60% XP saturation instead of the usual 90%).

AMD has a better product, the consumer is redirecting more and more of his purchasing power in AMD's direction, end result= Intel must bow to the consumer and his purchasing power. THESE ARE RULES THAT THE CONSUMER SOMETIMES FORGETS ABOUT. His purching power is the most powerful force in the world of economics.

The only reason MS is scrambling to get SP2 out is because the consumer is starting to redirect his purchasing power away from MS and looking for alternatives.

It doesn't matter how big the company, or even if it is a monopoly, the consumer still has ALL of the power. Companies like Intel and MS have been manipulating the consumer using lies and fraud. But eventually, even the most naive of consumer will start to question why what he was told and what he is experiencing don't line up.

There is simply one undeniable fact, the consumer is king. Sometimes ruling may be tough. But the consumer will get what the consumer wants.

Anyone that thinks the consumer can't tame the MS issue is just too lazy to do their part as the ruler of the economic world.

Nothing in the world has more power than the consumer. It just takes a lot to get him to wield that power. But once he is pushed to that point, there is no force, not even a monopolistic fraudulent thief like Microsoft, that can survive the consumer's wrath. PERIOD!
