Lotsa folks in DENIAL !
Many in the media and on Wall Street have gone thru life with blinders on because Intel has generated windfall profits for these folks. Intel's many design, engineering and production issues have been blatantly obvious for years. The only reason Intel has maintained it's sales volume in recent years is thru monopolistic Biz practices as the competition (AMD), has far better products and has executed and delivered the goods since Athlon was released over (5) years ago. AMD's enterprise sales prove this.

Now that Pressed Crap and Intel's 90 nano process are a confirmed disaster, and with Xeon not even close to being competitive to Opteron, and with none of Intel's inferior chippie designs doing 32 and 64 bit processing natively, Intel is up the creek without a canoe...

Nine months ago I opined that Intel should scrap Pressed Crap and Tejas and get a CLUE where the market was going and the technology required to meet consumer demand. Intel in their wisdom chose to bet the farm on an unproven 90 nano process and strong-arm Biz practices. Now Intel is in shambles and rightly so. They have virtually NO competitive products in the laptop-desktop-server segments (with the possible exception of Pentium M), so they must run fire sales to get enterprise to purchase overheating Pressed Crap and L3 Xeon chippies. The goal for Intel now is to defraud consumers long enough for them to copy AMD's Opteron/A64 chippies and rush them to market, which should take 12-18 months as Intel started work on these clones months ago when reality bit them in the AZZ !

Intel's empire, created thru corruption IMNHO is crumbling from all sides with VIA, SIS, Nvidia, ATI and others taking chipset sales, the Asian Mobo makers stealing market share with better products, AMD really Hammering CPU sales, corporate IT folks tired of the Intel blackmail routine, etc. Thank God and AMD and it's marketing partners for a much brighter future. With any luck the Satan's of Santa Clara will all burn in Hell!

And don't forget Microsucks is gonna pay one Helleva high price for screwing over AMD on Windoze A64 by delaying it's release to help Intel buy time to produce 32/64 bit chippies. The Times, they are a Changin' and Linux is gonna rock Dollar Bill Gates World like never before. The WinTel Cabal is going down !
