I beg to differ
Merriam-Webster defines "innovation" as: the introduction of
something new; a new idea, method, or device.

You are arguing that, "because it adds to Windows something
new it did not have before" this qualifies as an innovation. I'd
argue the opposite, that because this functionality already
exists, and is commonplace on other computer systems, it can't
be considered a "new idea", it can't be considered novel. If
you've never seen a cel phone before, and I give you one, does
that make me an innovator? Does that mean I've innovated the
cel phone because I've introduced a long-standing existing
technology to someone who didn't have it before?
