from Apple to appear in Longhorn... besides MSAirport, MSiSync...

Avalon = MSQuartz?

Indigo (or is it WS-Discovery?) = MSRendezvous?
(At WinHEC, Gates just hyped auto detection of printers, other peripherals, networks, file sharing, etc upcoming in Longhorn (2 years away?)... all of which in available thru Rendezvous in OSX today.)

Microsoft... the acquisition and marketing company that is succeeding more thru the unstoppable momentum of it's illegally maintained monopoly, it's humungous bankroll (much of it ill-gotten gain), "borrowed" (cough) or bought IP and in spite of itself, other than thru any new or "innovative" products or ideas.

The more things change... happy
