I have had plenty of dells loaded with Win 2k3 that are now happily running linux and squid instead of the buggy ISA server they came with.

That is your problem you inflicted on yourself.

Truth be said people want choices, alot of people and business need computers to do tasks that windows just does not do very well, if at all.

Everyone wants choice, its just that Windows does tasks a lot better.
