Dell takes small steps toward Linux
83,000 users, thats it? That number is laughable. Lets be generous here and assume that only half of those people would actually purchase a linux unit, why i have no idea, but Dell would end up losing money on this deal. They tried this once before and it fell flat in their face. Now that I think about it, everyone who's tried to sell linux PC's got screwed including Gateway and Walmart. 83,000 votes may show an interest but I seriously doubt that 10% of those people would even consider purchasing a linux PC. If they do you can be sure that linux will be wiped off within 2 weeks. Bottom line is no one wants linux. I know this, Dell knows this, why can't the linux community figure this out? Because they are too brainwashed into thinking their OS is good and its the end all be all which it is not.
