Well, certification for Linux is better than nothing, but, we would like to
see more certifications, including RedHat, Fedora, Ubuntu, Mandriva. Those vendors would likely be willing to share the expense of certification.

But, even then, it should be rather easy for Dell to keep track of Linux support for each type of device they sell with computers and share that information.

But, until Dell can supply a single driver and install program for all distributions that are LSB compliant, we can NOT expect full support from Dell, it is just too hard for the percent of Linux desktops they will sell in the short term. This is not just a Dell problem, this is also a Linux problem.
