- I can't imagine them coming up with something
-
on a PC (any brand) that would drive me to buy one to watch
television or movies with.
When I switched to digital television, I was plagued with
pixilation. When I connected my Powerbook to my TV, I saw the
same result as if I used my DVD player. So I am not the market.
The market might be those people that do not have all the
gismos today: home cinema amp, plasma screen, mini-disc
player, vcr, etc. Could a computer hooked up to a decent
amplifier and a broadband connection replace all that?
Well, simply, yes. But I don't want to have to use a browser to
pick up my favorite radio station (lots more work than pushing a
button), I don't want pixelated images from download on
demand movies (like I get even with cable) and until what's
available on public airwaves is available on the internet on
demand, then the entertainment pc is still a bit of a dream,
methinks. - Posted by: mlindl Posted on: 05/05/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
