Correction needed.
"Palm's stock has been dropping for a while because they've been making strategic mistakes. Assuming that's true, I don't think Microsoft should be attacked for taking advantage, do you?"

You said Palm made a strategic mistake. But why did you think Microsoft took the advantage? It was not an advantage. Microsoft lost money on each of the PocketPCs sold just like the X-Box through heavy subsidy from the Windows desktop and Office business. If Microsoft did not have the monopoly on the desktop OS and Office, Microsoft would have been regarded as committing a much worser strategic mistake.

Hey, Microsoft is just throwing monopoly money away hoping to look good in everything. Palm just does not have that money to throw around.

Rich kids made many mistakes and it is still okay because they still have money to impress but poor kids who made even fewer mistakes will still be considered as 'big mistakes.'
