Last one out of Gateway turn the lights out!
I was a long time supporter of Gateway. I have purchased hundreds of their computers. The last round was less than satisfying, and the purchase of e-Machine is only making things worse. Their quality and customer support just went from good to really bad.

The law firm will be buying new computers in July or August and Gateway is no longer the preferred provider. We are considering the cost advantage of returning to me and my staff building our own. We did that until about seven or eight years ago. For the past few years we have had to do most of the physical support ourselves so there would be no difference and the cost benefit is considerable. We would be able to purchase higher quality parts such as motherboards than what Gateway or any other box builder is currently using.

Sadly I think the eMachine management will kill Gateway. They have no clue how to do anything but sell mass quantities of crap computers. Ted Waitt made a serious mistake when he bought eMachine and then put their management in place.
