A few years back OUR company mandated that we all keep out desktops powered UP when we leave. That way they could push software updates and patches to them throughout the night. How dumb, keep 400+ PCS running 24 X 7 just to be able to patch them. The power wasted not to mention these are lower end desktops that are not meant to stay on 265 24 X 7. I am sure the lifespan has been reduced too. Jeesh...
