Right, we keep adding features to the Desktop OSes instead of reducing
energy consumption. With the OLPC laptop, they took the opposite approach and stripped out all of the bloat, getting a laptop down to about 2 watts. We should be able to get down to at least 10 watts for a typical desktop/laptop. That would save a ton of energy.
