Chip equipment sales up 27.7 percent in 2006
Demand for mobile phones and digital music players, as well as for computer memory ahead of Microsoft's launch of its new Windows Vista operating system, pushed chip makers to beef up spending on cutting-edge equipment last year.

That says it all... sales are up because of Vista! Lets go back to my comment about kickstarting the economy shall we?
