My thoughts exactly....

Or even better, broadcast the code for a cheaper version of the
same product, or even a different product. At least with a bar
code scanner it is much harder to fake. With RFID equipped
checkouts, all you'd need is a small coded radio in you pocket.

Getting the code is a different matter but I'd bet it isn't too hard.

As for the wiping of a whole truck load of goods, well they are
supposed to wipe out the tag upon leaving the store so a high
power version shouldn't be too difficult to build.

Sounds like fun!
