the slippery slope gets steeper
The nation's legislative bodies have gone after guns, smoking, riding in cars, riding on motorcycles. Now they are going after walking and listening while walking. This reminds me of a a sci-fi short story titled "With Hands Folded".

SPOILER ALERT::::::
Society is taken over by robots who enforced the First Law of Robotics to the extreme. Humans are reduced to sitting in chairs "With Hands Folded."
