Dells biggest problem!
Dell's biggest problem is not so much first time buyers, but rather trying to win back their old customers.
I've been buying Dells since the mid/late 80's and never had any gripes....
This last Dell I bought had been good, no serious hardware failures and the few minor ones I had were handled quickly....
So "Why Won't I Buy Another Dell?"

Dell (like all other PC makers) has one serious flaw that cost them my business... Well, ok two flaws.
The first being the "Catch 22".... They load your PC with their version of MS "OEM" Windows. MS does not support OEM versions of Windows.
Dell wants you to pay about $69 bucks for each incident you need help with..... Ah, NOT!

Secondly, Dell just flat out lied to me when I renewed my support agreement.
I was told support for Windows would be covered... It was not!
(overseas support was the one that told me it would be covered)
8 months later I ran into a Windows error I couldn't fix, called Dell support and was told it would cost me $69.00, I complained that, that was not what I was told.
After talking to about 3 techs (5 total, but asked for another tech when I couldn't understand what they were saying) they gave me Dells HQ address (snail mail) to file my complaint to.
(they do not have email complaints or phone either.... Wonder why;-)
Did Dell send a message to a customer that has bought 4 or 5 Dells....NO!
Did Dell anything to this 'valued customer' (whay I was called by tech support).....NO!

How did I solve my problem? Called a local PC store and their tech answered my question in less then 5 minutes.... and it was free!
My next PC...... Locally built, by people that actually know what support means!!!!
