No time machine
Dell is in the same boat as a lot of other hardware assemblers. They add no unique value, so they are considered 'just one of the pack.' Unless Mr. Dell has a time machine, and can go back about 3 years and attempt to differentiate his company, he is going to find success difficult. Dell's effort to use 'service' as a point of value seperation has failed miserably.
