So now that AMD has native 32-bit support in their 64-bit chip, Intel will try to retrofit it into theirs? And how to do that... hmmmmm.
Wait, I know. We'll announce a software fix for 2003 and scramble a bunch of our worst programmers to kludge something together while we try to kill the Operton with price cuts. And if that doesn't work, we'll delay the software launch and put some decent talent on the case to come up with something, ANYTHING to stop the bleeding from that upstart AMD.
Of course, in the end, the software will be far slower than AMD's hardware solution, but we'll hire the Teletubbies or Blue Man Group to convince everyone otherwise and the gravy train will continue. That's right, Intel. Keep whistling past the graveyard and nothing bad will happen. - Posted by: bidemytime Posted on: 11/03/03 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
