Hypertransport?
Well,

1. Right now Intel processors are faster w/o HyperT.
2. While there are some who will utilize HyperTransport right now it for the most part only benefits AMD see #1
3. There are 3 competing technologies that Intel can use either currently or in the near future.
a. license front-side bus. Not as good but close enough. Currently available.
b. They are working on their own internal memory management, i.e. a direct competitor to HyperTransport
c. PCI Express 2.0+ could be used to replace HyperTransport and provide the same functionality over a cable. This being looked at by the PCI Express group. This may cause #2 to be abandoned.

So while HypT is a very good technology it is being marginalized by Intel's new competitive line. Had Intel been a bit slower in getting out a competitive processor. HyperT would have dominated the landscape.
