I find that Mr. Murphy has his favorites ideas on the benefits of various architectures regardless of what the data says. He actually indicated that the Niagra processor was faster than Intels best x86. Which it was in only one benchmark only. In all other cases it was pretty slow compared to everybody else (PowerPc, AMD, Intel ia64 and x86). He is much better when he blogs on industry trends than when he dives into the technical stuff regarding hardware. I am sure he is pretty competent on the OS side of *nix.

Everyone is biased to some degree. I like George Ou on technical stuff. But he has his biases too. So do I. So do you.

I agree that he's going to be somewhat torn now.
