- I am glad I didn't know that.

First of all, listen up, linux is only good for server and clustering.---
Gee, I'm glad somebody didn't tell me that two years ago as I'be been running Linux exclusively on my desktops and servers for that long. I am happy I didn't know that it is meant for servers only. Although I do agree for servers and clustering in mission critical applications it is miles ahead of M$. But it does present a problem, since I have now been told I can't run Linux on my desktop and take advantage of Flash, Real video, pdf files, ftp access, scripting and all the other trappings of internet sites along with downloading photos from my digital camera, using my scanner, and writing CD-ROMs what am I to do? I've not yet run across a website where everything didn't work as advertised but, since I didn't know that it wasn't supposed to work I will probably begin to have no end of problems.
I guess the old saying is true. Ignorance is bliss.
I just don't know what to do now. Please help me.
PS. Loading a virus transport platform is not an option.
On the other hand, maybe, just maybe, you are still living in 1997. Maybe you just have no clue what you are talking about. I couldn't make any sense out of anything else you said. Maybe this is simply nonsense too. Could that be it? - Posted by: NoB$ Posted on: 11/03/03 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
