Linux is good for a lot more than server and clustering
You said: "First of all, listen up, linux is only good for server and clustering"

Those are just the two areas where they have had the most success. Actually they absolutly dominate the clustering field. Another are where Linux is starting to dominate is in embedded systems, including internet connected devices. An area where linux will take off is single function desktops at corporations, such as help desks, hotel reception, data entry, etc. A slower update will be reduced function desktops that just need basic word processing, web access, email, and company applications. When there is a critical mass and most of the proprietary software venders have ported to Linux, Linux could take off on corporate desktops. It will be a long time before Linux gains traction at home as a general purpose operation system, but will take off for internet appliances that just offer web access and email, connected to a TV.
