Portability not available to all on 24th
I was talking with our company's Cingular rep last week and asked about the portability issue. He said that the Nov 24th date only applies to the major metropolitan market areas, i.e. we're out of luck till at least 24 May 2004!

I've not seen anything to that effect in any of the articles that have talked about portability.

ZDN, you forget that we don't all live in NYC, LA, Atlanta, etc.

Another tidbit the rep mentioned, for what it's worth, was that Cingular had been in talks with T-mobile several different times regarding buying their GSM network.
