Sounds right on target
iPod has been consumer branded the lifestyle device that needs no deep shopping comparisons to purchase. It is pervasive and its accessories both 1st and 3rd party make it the easiest chocie from grandparent to promo execs to college kids to choose, . . . those other players can only hope to carve out a sustaining niche (like Archos playing the DVR route, because who's really buying their MP3 player, and forget the Zune, . . it's only got advertising dollars to keep it afloat).

As for the Wii, . . . its way fun, . . it's engaging that it takes gaming and makes it physical (and no need to dance dance your way) entertainment a selling point. Parents will love that their kids will put on a little less weight in front of this baby sitter, and everybody else can get in on the action. Plus Nintendo is all about making the game machine, not the entertainment hub, not the DVD Plasma screen seller, but a game machine.

As for 360, yeah, it's a year old and not the new kid on the block, . . . I guess that means in the age of Sony short supply, it's got enough games to choose from and enough units on the shelves to fulfill demands both purchase and satisfaction wise. Next year, we might be retelling this story with PS3 replacing 360 in the articles and opines.
