Apple turns on faster portables

I bought one . . .: I bought a Mac. After using Dell laptops and an IBM ThinkPad I
bought a 15" PB a few years back.

I own a very small business and travel internationally. The
primary reason I bought it was to avoid and possible virus/worm
problems when I'm overseas for a month. (Depending on your
computer for that long is critical when the cost of the trip comes
out of your own pocket.) Secondary factor was VPC for the one
proprietary Windows app I had to run.

I also do a lot of things now I never did on a PC. Digital pictures
and movies, my CD collection on the PB and an iPod (with Bose
noise reduction cans for 14 hour flights). I'm actually having fun
without the hassles of the PC. My Mac just works - and a hell of
a lot better than my Dell desktops.

End result: I'll now replace the old PowerBook with the new one,
plan on replacing the Dell at home with the G5 iMac when it
comes out and the office Dell in about 12 months with the big
